Professional and Regulatory Bodies

The MTC is currently preparing for Stage 2, Institutional Standards Assessment (ISA), of the institutional accreditation process required by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education. The College completed Stage 1, Institutional Quality Audit (IQA), in 2018 and the General Foundation Programme (GFP) Quality Audit in 2022.
The MTC is also recognised by several international professional bodies licensed by the Engineering Council UK for meeting standards in academic and technical education.

Graduates of our accredited Advanced Diploma programmes in Aeronautical, Civil, Marine and Systems Engineering and Construction Engineering Management will meet the educational requirements for partial achievement of Incorporated Engineering (IEng) status.

Graduates of BEng programmes will meet the requirements for full achievement of IEng status.As the only GCC institution accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), graduates of our BSc in Quantity Surveying will meet the educational requirements for Chartered Surveyor status.

Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education

The Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAQA) was established by Royal Decree No 54/2010 to continue the dissemination of a quality culture and accreditation of institutions and their programmes, as well as overseeing the quality of school education and implementing the National Qualifications Framework. The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is a British multi-disciplinary professional institution dedicated to the global Aerospace community. The IET was formed in 2006 from two separate institutions: the Institution of Electrical Engineers, dating back to 1871, and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers dating back to 1884. European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Civil Aviation Authority (Oman)

MTC is an approved training organisation of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman.
