Overdue Items, Fines and Replacement Charges

All LRC borrowers are responsible for the safe and timely return of LRC materials. The LRC will send a reminder notice before items are overdue but when they are seriously overdue, courtesy notices are sent. However, failure to receive a notice does not excuse a user from having their account blocked.

Overdue Fines – will be applicable in future

Group Study Room

The LRC offers 4 group study rooms for student & staff use. Selected study rooms may only be reserved in advance during study periods and finals by contacting the Circulation Desk. Otherwise, rooms are available on a first come first served basis. Group study rooms are limited to 2 people or more and unattended items will be moved. Group rooms are equipped with flat screen TVs to facilitate group study and presentation practice.

LRC Creative Space

The Creative Space is a collaborative workspace inside the LRC set up to engage students practically with the Engineering Design Process, while learning Engineering terminology and improving their English vocabulary. They will get to design, create, explore and build different projects using a variety of tools. This space also helps students to develop their critical 21st century skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). In addition, it helps the students to enhance their language skills through their engagement with the technical English and Engineering terminology. By introducing this space in the LRC, we would like to provide hands on learning, help with critical thinking skills and even boost self-confidence.

For Whom?

This space is open to all GSD students (E3 and above) students who want to do innovative projects using mostly recyclable material.
