Guide students in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and cost plans based on construction drawings and specifications. Develop case studies and exercises based on real-world construction projects to enhance student understanding. Instruct students in pre-contract and post-contract cost management, tender documentation, and contract administration. Train students in the use of quantity surveying software such as CostX or similar tools for measurement and cost estimation. Participate in curriculum development, student assessment, and the continuous improvement of the Quantity Surveying program. Keep updated with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) standards and integrate best practices into the curriculum.
