A semi circular laurel wreath encompasses the logo’s two main symbols- the gear and an open book. The laurel wreath encircling the logo is used to represent the graduation/ Master Degree ceremony and also stands for victory and triumph, qualities that students must look to achieve within the education process and their personal lives. Since MTC is a college providing specialist academic engineering programmes pertinent to the work environment of the Sultan’s Armed forces and security services, the logo is represented using the gear symbol standing for engineering. The open book below the gear symbol stands for knowledge, learning, intellect, information and wisdom which the student must search for within the education system. The Khanjar within the crown joining the two ends of the wreath represents the Sultanate of Oman.
