On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, the Omani Committee for University Sports held the Championship of Higher Education Institutions for Athletics and Swimming at the Military Technological College's Sports Complex, which resulted in its successful conclusion. At the conclusion of the championship, the Military Technological College team took home the overall title for Athletics and Swimming in the men’s division, while the Arab Open University team won the championship for the women’s division. The purpose of this championship is to help students develop their athletic skills and prepare them for participating in local, regional and international sporting events. It also serves to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity in promoting public health and keeping fit. The Vice-Chairman of the Omani Committee for University Sports, in addition to representatives of universities and colleges participating in the tournament and several invitees, attended the closing activities of the tournament. The event was held with the patronage of the Director of the Military Activities Directorate at the Military Technological College.
