Engineering programs

Aeronautical Engineering

Aeronautical Engineering students have an opportunity to achieve a range of academic and vocational qualifications recognized locally and internationally within both the commercial and military aviation environments. Students commence training, focusing primarily on Training Needs Analysis (TNA) as defined in the MOD competencies. The MOD competencies are highly valued by The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) and are the framework to continue developing skills and knowledge to an acceptable standard as RAFO Technicians.

Civil Engineering

Civil Engineers, Construction Managers and Quantity Surveyors are all about everyday needs of people. They provide, develop and improve homes, hospitals, airports, roads, railways, dams, energy, clean water, towers, tunnels, bridges and mega structures. The list is endless and, indeed Civil Engineers, Construction Managers and Quantity Surveyors influence the whole world!

Marine Engineering

Marine Engineering students at MTC will have a unique experience gained through learning and development in a marine environment. The Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Engineering Degree are based on curriculum designed in line with top international standards, which is accredited by the UK Engineering Council. The programmes are conducted in close liaison with the University of Portsmouth, and will have well defined career development pathways for graduates upon joining a marine engineering military environment.

Systems Engineering

Systems Engineering is a programme that enables students enlisted in His Majesty’s Armed Forces to meet the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) as defined in the MOD competencies. Likewise, it provides a solid educational foundation upon which graduate engineers can build, with supplemental learning and experience, to achieve higher professional status and responsibility within the engineering military and industry in Oman.
