The Aeronautical Engineering Department is developing a suite of programs in applied aeronautical engineering, aligned to international best practice and standards. Programmes include an Advanced Diploma (DipHE) and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Students will be trained in compliance with and to the standard of the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA). The department is equipped to deliver both military and civilian modular programmes in a world class training facility that includes several military and civilian training aircraft housed in fully furnished workshops. Our teaching facilities are of an excellent standard and lessons are supported through the use of Smart Media and Virtual Learning Environment software
Aeronautical Engineering Majors:
- An Advanced Diploma will be awarded to a student who has obtained a minimum of 360 credits
- A Bachelor’s Degree with honours will be awarded to a student who has obtained a minimum of 480 credits
- An EASA Training Certificate will be awarded to a student who has obtained a total mark of 75% in general and 75% in each course.
